摘要: African swine fever (ASF) virus was introduced in Latvia June 2014. Thirty-two outbreaks domestic pigs and 217 cases wild boar were notified Twenty-eight (87.5%) primary outbreaks. The contagiosity within pig herds low. Failure to use simple biosecurity measures reduce the chance of introduction, for example by inadvertent feeding locally produced contaminated fodder main causes backyard holdings. infection survived two different areas with a low prevalence slow spread. persistence an area most probably linked scavenging carcasses infected boar.
