摘要: This work analyzes the Turkish effort at privatization from 1979 to 1990, shedding light on obstacles that arose in a country with 50-year tradition of economic paternalism. From creation Turkey after World War I, state control, complete state-owned firms and government financial institutions, was integral enshrined as principle 1937 constitution. But oil shocks 1970s, major adjustments became necessary, by programme begun. The book's chief focus examining restructuring Turkey's economy is rent-seeking behaviour.
