摘要: Abstract Eight Pakistani medicinal plants were investigated for antipyretic activity in rabbits receiving subcutaneous yeast injections. Hexane- and chloroform-soluble extracts of Aconitum napellus stems, Corchorns depressus whole plant Gmelina asiatica roots exhibited prominent oral while insignificant effects found the hexane- portions Melia azadirachta seeds, Tinospora cordifolia stems Vitex trifolia seeds. No actions whatsoever produced by A. heterophyllum Hedysarum alhagi aerial parts. Toxicity studies revealed no noteworthy toxic or adverse any above up to highest doses 1.6 g kg except case napellus.
