摘要: The positive effects of early developmental intervention (EDI) on child development have been reported in numerous controlled trials a variety countries. An important aspect to determining the efficacy EDI is degree which dosage linked outcomes. However, few studies conducted such analyses. This observational cohort study examined association between treatment dose and children’s when was implemented three low low-middle income countries as well demographic health factors associated with dose. Infants (78 males, 67 females) born rural communities India, Pakistan, Zambia received parent-implemented delivered through biweekly home visits by trainers during first 36 months life. Outcome measured at age Mental (MDI) Psychomotor (PDI) Development Indices Bayley Scales Infant Development-II. Treatment number completed parent-reported implementation assigned stimulation activities visits. Sociodemographic, prenatal, perinatal, variables were measures correlates. Average exceeded 91% mothers engaged children average 62.5% days. Higher significantly higher MDI (mean for quintiles 1–2 combined = 97.8, 3–5 combined = 103.4, p = 0.0017). also generally greater mean PDI, but relationships non-linear. Location, sociodemographic, Receiving life better benefit appears receiving ≥91% program ≥67% days over 3 years. It ensure that sufficiently high achieve desired effect. To this end groups risk lower can be identified may require special attention adequate
