摘要: Abstract The complexes of sulfasalazine (H3Suz) with some alkaline metals Mg(II), Ca(II), Sr(II) and Ba(II) have been investigated. Sulfasalazine were synthesized characterized by spectroscopic tools; infrared spectra, electronic mass spectra. IR spectra the prepared suggested that H3Suz behaves as a bi-dentate ligand through carboxylic phenolic groups. molar conductance measurements gave an idea about non-electrolytic behavior complexes. thermal decomposition processes for metal(II) viz: [M(HSuz)(H2O)4] (where M = Mg(II), or Ba(II)) accomplished on basis TG/DTG DTA studies, formula conforms to stoichiometry based elemental analysis. kinetic analyses studied using Coats–Redfern Horowitz–Metzger equations. antitumor antimicrobial activities their evaluated.
