Structural diversity in binuclear complexes of alkaline earth metal ions with 4,6-diacetylresorcinol

摘要: Abstract A new series of binuclear and mixed-ligand complexes with the general formula: [ M 2 ( H n L ) m x ′ O y Cl z ] ; where M = Mg(II), Ca(II), Sr(II) Ba(II); L = 4,6-diacetylresorcinol, secondary ligand L′ = acetylacetone (acac), 8-hydroxyquinoline (8-HQ) or 2,2′-bipyridyl (Bipy),  = 0–2,  = 1, 2,  = 0, 1, 2, 4,  = 0, 2, 4, 5  = 0–2; have been synthesized. They characterized by analytical spectral methods (IR, 1 NMR mass) as well TGA molar conductivity measurements. The spectroscopic conductance data suggested that behaves a neutral, monobasic dibasic tetradentate ligand, depending on basicity through two phenolic carbonyl groups. Binuclear octahedral geometry has assigned to all prepared in various ratios 2:2; 2:2:2; 1:2:1 1:2:4 (L:M:L′). Molecular orbital calculations were performed for ligands their using Hyperchem 7.52 program bases PM 3 level results correlated experimental data. some its alkaline metal(II) showed antibacterial activity towards Gram-positive Gram-negative bacteria, yeast Candida albicans fungus Aspergillus fumigatus ).
