摘要: Objectives: Ki-67 is expressed in the nuclei of dividing cells and can be used to assess proliferation synovial inflammatory stromal cells. We evaluated subintimal Ki-67+ cell density as a tissue biomarker for arthropathies compared it CD68, RA. Methods: Subintimal CD68+ densities were measured immunohistochemically specimens obtained from patients with rheumatoid arthritis (RA; n = 19), osteoarthritis (OA; n = 18), “non-inflammatory” orthopaedic (avascular necrosis, meniscus injury, femur fracture; n = 16), chronic septic (n = 9), histologically normal synovium (n = 10). Results correlated histological synovitis score. Utilising areas under receiver operating characteristic curves (AUCs), we abilities CD68 differentiate among these arthropathies. Results: was widely subintima inflamed RA pannus invading hard tissues. Compared controls, highly overexpressed (26.6-fold) (55-fold), mildly elevated OA (3.9-fold) (2.1-fold). differentiated similarly well between (AUC: Ki-67 = 0.91, CD68 = 0.94), better RA, controls. ( r  = 0.80)  = 0.79) positively Conclusions: arthropathies, distinguished differentially severity synovitis. It may prove useful classification marker disease activity clinical trials when biopsies are available.
