摘要: The red mite of poultry, Dremanyssus gallinae, is the most important hematophagous ectoparasite poultry. In this study, pathologic changes its biting on poultry skin have been investigated. Thirty-two (Control = 16 and Treatment 16) four weeks old Ross broilers (308) were infested with hock joins. Samples collected after 1, 24, 72 hours 10 days. samples fixed in 10% buffered formalin histological sections prepared using routine Hematoxylin & Eosin staining method. Results showed that all cases, except within first hour infestation, lymphocytic infiltration was always a constant feature. Necrosis feather's follicles prominent feature ensued due to vascular disturbances resulted loss feather. Hyperkeratosis, parakeratosis acanthosis observed hours. These findings reveal induces local epidermal hyperplasia.
