摘要: Inelastic electron tunneling spectroscopy at low temperatures was used to investigate vibrations of Au(111) and Cu(111). The low-energy peaks 9 millielectron volts (meV) on 21 meV Cu(111) are attributed phonons surfaces. On Au(111), the phonon energy is not influenced by different stacking surface atoms, but it considerably atomic distances within layer. spatial variation excitation measured in inelastic maps which display resolution. This resolution explained terms site-specific probabilities.
