摘要: Abstract In this paper, repetitive upsetting-extrusion (RUE) was used for the semi-solid processing of 7075 Al alloy first time. Specimens were subjected to different RUE cycles at 250 °C, and treatment carried out a range 580 620 °C 2–35 min. The results indicated that slurry's microstructure is fine spheroidal, superior produced by conventional strain induced melt activation (SIMA) process. effect inhomogeneous distribution across cross section pre-deformed sample on thixotropic microstructural features investigated using finite element method (FEM). Increasing number accelerates recrystallization rate, reduces average grain size improves degree spheroidization. Lifshitz–Slyozov–Wagner (LSW) theory describe coarsening process slurry in new RUE-based modified SIMA kinetics solid particles discussed.
