摘要: Abstract The effect of SIMA process parameters on the crystallographic texture and microstructure 7075 aluminum alloy was investigated. Specimens were subjected to 10–55% uniaxial compression strain at ambient temperature then semi-solid treatment carried out a range 600 620 °C for 5–35 min. fiber textures ║CD dominant in compressed samples. transformed randomized following formation equiaxed globular grains. Intense segregation Cu Si appreciable depletion Mg observed grain boundaries during soaking time. boundary composition approaches Al–Cu Al–Si binary eutectics, which facilitates melting. Effects both coarsening kinetics solid particles pinning liquid films are also discussed.
