摘要: Proteomic studies have yielded detailed lists of the proteins present in a cell. Comparatively little is known, however, about how these interact and are spatially arranged within 'functional modules' cell: that is, 'molecular sociology' This gap now being bridged by using emerging experimental techniques, such as mass spectrometry complexes single-particle cryo-electron microscopy, to complement traditional biochemical biophysical methods. With development integrative computational methods exploit data obtained, hybrid approaches will uncover molecular architectures, perhaps even atomic models, many protein complexes. structures hand, researchers be poised use tomography view action cells, providing unprecedented insights into protein-interaction networks.
