Gustave Malécot and the transition from classical to modern population genetics.

摘要: The contributions of Gustave Malecot to theoretical population genetics are described, discussed, and put into perspective relative earlier later work. In this context, certain aspects the theory inbreeding, correlation between relatives, evolution finite panmictic populations, (in more depth) spatial variation reviewed. A brief biographical sketch is also presented.
