摘要: Anthropometry is the method of choice for estimating body composition in clinical setting. The can be accurate, and requires little time, space, equipment, or financial outlay. Although used extensively epidemiological research, height/weight indices are not as accurate skinfold circumference measures composition. validity density enhanced by using a combination skin-fold multiple-regression model. Some recently developed generalized equations may have broader application use varied populations than several population-specific equations. newer take into account potential change ratio internal to external fat bone with age, nonlinear relationship between density. skinfolds significantly affected caliper selection measurement procedures. Inter-observer errors appear most problematic, improper site causing greatest variation among observers. To improve anthropometric technique setting, more precise standards description methods need developed.
