摘要: As a major site of glucose uptake following meal, skeletal muscle has an important role in whole-body metabolism. Evidence humans and animal models insulin resistance type 2 diabetes suggests that alterations mitochondrial characteristics accompany the development resistance. However, it is unclear whether changes content, respiratory function, or substrate oxidation are central to occur response Thus, this review will aim evaluate apparent conflicting information placing mitochondria as key organelle muscle.
