摘要: Abstract Background and aim Surveillance for colon cancer is recommended in patients with primary sclerosing cholangitis (PSC) ulcerative colitis (UC). It unclear whether characteristics of neoplasia have changed over time. The the study was to examine temporal trends PSC UC. Methods A total 167 followed up at our institution between 1985 2011, 55 these detected on colonoscopic biopsy were identified. Characteristics PSC–UC studied two different time periods: 1985–1998 (early cohort) compared 1999–2011 (recent cohort). Results median age diagnosis neoplasms 53 years (median IQR, 43–63). baseline similar both cohorts. colonic that developed spread throughout colonoscopy, while there predominant right sided distribution colectomy (81.7% vs. 18.3%, p  Conclusions With annual surveillance, dysplasia a combined PSC//UC being diagnosed shorter duration conditions. nature location have, however, not changed.
