摘要: A series of blends the aromatic polybenzimidazole, poly(2,2(m-phenylene)-5,5′-benzimidazole) (PBI), and polyimide-sulfone from 3,3′,4,4′-benzophenone tetracarboxylic dianhydride (BTDA) 3,3′-diaminodiphenylsulfone (3,3′DDS) (PISO) has been prepared by film casting N,N′-dimethylacetamide (DMAc) solution mixture. The differential scanning calorimetry, dynamic mechanical analysis FT-IR spectroscopy were adapted to clarify miscibility PBI/PISO blends. showed single but very broad glass transition this range was up 110°C especially for 50/50 wt% blend DSC measurement. thermograms spread shifted gradually higher temperature with increasing times run cycle which included annealing at 400 or 420°C without showing phase separated even last. behavior similar result that evidence reacted more vigorously above than pure components due catalytic activity benzimidazole. From spectra, gradual linear shift N-H stretching band maxima as much about 50 cm−1 shown. But phthalimide carbonyl sulfone little shift.
