摘要: Publisher Summary The most important excitatory neurotransmitter is glutamate, of which about 10 mM present in the brain. In glutamatergic nerve terminals, concentration glutamate estimated to be 40 mM. Glutamate has other functions brain besides neurotransmission such as general metabolism and protein synthesis. Neurotransmitters are stored specialized organelles called synaptic vesicles brain, well peripheral nervous system. Several different forms sizes have been described fixed tissue. These may indicate differences both content mechanical stability toward fixation treatment. general, neurotransmitters acetylcholine terminals with small clear round vesicles, catecholamines granule inhibitory amino acid transmitters pleomorphic vesicles. giant reticulo-spinal lamprey, density immuno-staining correlates packing vesicle. synthesis takes place extravesicularly necessitating an uptake into catecholamines, acetylcholine, transmitter acids taken up by energy dependent
