摘要: The role of national representatives on the management boards (MBs) European Union agencies (EUAs) is crucial in two respects. From a democratic point view, MB representatives' accountability may constitute possible additional source legitimacy for these technocratic bodies. perspective integration, their relationship with institutions tells us about status EUAs and extent to which MBs an intergovernmental control tool hands Member States. Contrary formal design, collected data suggest that have rather supranational, character. With regard contribution EUAs' accountability, although general level high, findings are more diverse. However, than reflecting intentions by States, different levels can best be explained functional institutional strategic factors.
