摘要: To evaluate the efficacy of Anabat II ultrasonic detector and analysis system for use as a tool conducting inventories, we compared results acoustic versus capture techniques in southwestern United States. We sampled 57 locations using standard methods (mist nets double-frame harp traps) simultaneously with an (Anabat II). Assuming total number species obtained by both equaled complete inventory, captures accounted 63.5% sampling 86.9% combined present. Acoustic was capable bats that routinely flew outside capabilities traps. found no statistical difference between respect to low-intensity echolocation. bat communities is powerful but should be used various perform most accurate inventory.
