摘要: The gene encoding Babesia ovis surface protein D (BoSPD) was cloned from B. cDNA library. This encodes a polypeptide chain of 155 amino acids, including predicted 22 acid signal peptide. Sequence analysis the BoSPD suggested that it is with no known domains. BLAST followed by multiple alignments showed four orthologs other Apicomplexan species and specific for ovis. BoSPD-based PCR then developed to specifically detect in experimentally-infected sheep Rhipicephalus bursa ticks, as well field samples. enabled detection at calculated parasitemia 0.0016% shown be Moreover, allowed prolonged subclinical infection lambs dissected organs ticks. Finally, used blood samples naturally-infected R. ticks collected an infected flock. These results suggest sequence can sensitive marker, allowing Based on its properties, may considered candidate anti-B. vaccine development or target anti-B.ovis treatment.
