摘要: We report 13 cases of inflammatory pseudotumor the urinary bladder in patients having no history recent local trauma. The average age (eight females, five males) was 35.4 years (range, 19 to 60 years). Gross hematuria (nine cases) and recurrent cystitis (three were most common presentations. Cystoscopy gross examination revealed either a polypoid intraluminal mass or submucosal mural mass, ranging size from 2 7 cm. lesions commonly gelatinous. Histological showed that consisted spindle cells with tapering eosinophilic cytoplasm, typically widely separated vascular myxoid matrix acute chronic cells. In four had more compact cellularity areas fibrosis less change. muscularis propria involved 10 cases, perivesical fat two cases. immunoreactive for vimentin (10 10) muscle-specific actin 10). A few exhibited immunoreactivity smooth-muscle-specific eight), cytokeratin (two 10), desmin nine), epithelial membrane antigen eight). Ultrastructural myofibroblasts, fibroblasts, mixture cell types. DNA content analysis by flow cytometry yielded diploid histograms (six six). Clinical follow-up all demonstrated evidence recurrence (mean follow-up, 25.8 months). findings indicate this lesion is benign, likely reparative, mesenchymal can be recognized its distinctive pathological features.
