摘要: Medium osmolality is an important factor to consider during recombinant Chinese hamster ovary (rCHO) cell culture. Several studies have shown that hyperosmolality improves the specific foreign protein productivity (q), although effect of on q in rCHO culture seems differ between lines, clones, and gene dosages. However, decreases growth rate (μ). The depressed occurs at elevated generates a dilemma enhanced, substantial increase maximum concentration not attainable. As remedy this problem, addition osmoprotective compounds, such as glycine betaine, or regulation anti-apoptotic proteins, are offered potential methods alleviate and, thus, production hyperosmotic culture. Keywords: CHO cell; osmolality; specific rate; specific
