摘要: Purpose – The construction industry has been criticized for not keeping up with other production industries in terms of cost efficiency, innovation, and methods. purpose this paper is to contribute the knowledge about what hampers efficiency supplying engineer‐to‐order (ETO) joinery‐products process. objective identify main contributors inefficiency define areas innovation improving industry.Design/methodology/approach Case studies supply chain a Swedish ETO supplier are carried out, observations, semi‐structured interviews, documents from these cases analysed an improvement perspective.Findings From lean thinking information modelling perspective, longer‐term procurement relations efficient communication enhancing joinery‐products.
