摘要: The Permo-Carboniferous to Eocene Sverdrup Basin in Canada's Arctic Archipelago is strongly influenced by evaporite diapirism. However, salt structures within the basin have not been extensively investigated recently due their remote location. This study includes interpretation of legacy seismic reflection and borehole data characterize geometry selected domes, 1D backstripping wells investigate tectonic sedimentary influences on Extensional rift-structures appear played a significant role formation domes triggering directing movement. Diapirism was initiated at least Middle Triassic continued develop during Mesozoic. Differential loading opposing east–west dome margins led present day asymmetric geometries. Diapir growth rates Mesozoic were closely linked rate sedimentation regional tectonism.
