摘要: Ceria (CeO2) plays a vital role in emerging technologies for environmental and energy-related applications. The catalytic efficiency of ceria nanoparticles depends on its morphology. In this study, CeO2 were synthesized by microwave-assisted hydrothermal method under different synthesis temperatures. samples characterized X-ray diffraction, transmission electron microscopy, Raman scattering spectroscopy, paramagnetic resonance spectroscopy the Brunauer–Emmett–Teller method. diffraction results indicated that all had pure cubic structure. Rietveld analysis also revealed presence structural defects due to an associated reduction valence Ce4+ ions Ce3+ caused increasing molar fraction oxygen vacancies. morphology was controlled varying temperature. TEM images show at 80 °C consisted spherical particles about 5 nm, while those 120 presented mix rod-like sample 160 nanorods with 10 nm average diameter 70 length. proved be highly efficient morphologies.
