摘要: The nuclear DNA content of paraffin-embedded parathyroid tumors from 49 patients with proven primary hyperparathyroidism was determined by flow cytometric analysis. lesions included 14 and 11 locally recurrent or metastatic 16 carcinoma patients, 28 single adenomas 15 hyperplastic glands five familial multiple endocrine neoplasia type 1. No abnormal stemline found in any the glands. One (3.6%) aneuploid. There no difference ploidy patterns between carcinomas (31%) expressed aneuploidy. Four aneuploid had recurrences including pulmonary metastases. them died this disease 12 years after initial operation, all except one others are hypercalcemic even removal successive tumors. Of diploid carcinoma, four either local recurrence metastasis. Two living normocalcemia 3 6 years, respectively, alive mild hypercalcemia. remaining seven however, have 2 to 5 operation. Thus likely show more malignant behavior than those a pattern. All adenoma hyperplasia been normocalcemic mean follow-up interval 37 months. This study indicates that analysis is valuable adjunct histologic examination diagnosis prediction clinical outcome.
