摘要: Analysis of verbal responses to electrical stimulation the trigeminal ganglion and rootlets has been only method available so far localize electrode tip in most appropriate division or segment, prior thermocoagulation during percutaneous treatment for neuralgia. A diversity factors may lead unreliable responses, resulting increased morbidity even therapeutic failure. In an attempt enhance accuracy localization Sweet's procedure, we describe electrophysiological complementary clinical responses. Sensory evoked potentials (STEPs) induced by separate successive orthodromic cutaneous three divisions recorded isolated a transoval thermocouple electrode, together with motor (MTEPs) elicited ipsilateral temporal muscle, were sequentially examined six patients undergoing tic gradual rostro-caudal withdrawal. STEPs MTEPs showed correlation at each site. General anaesthesia failed affect STEPs. Systematic exploration awake patient both MTEPs, is therefore recommended induction radiofrequency lesions course
