摘要: Importance of the field: Focal adhesion kinase (FAK), a crucial mediator integrin and growth factor signaling, is novel promising target in cancer therapy. FAK resides within focal adhesions which are contact points between extracellular matrix (ECM) cytoskeleton, increased expression has been linked with cell migration, proliferation survival. The aim this review to summarize current research area assess potential different FAK-targeting strategies for therapy.Areas covered review: We briefly examine evidence pointing towards as anti-cancer since its discovery 1992. Then, we approaches developed interfere signaling important results reported from these experiments. Finally, discuss accomplish inhibition tumor distant spread well potentially meaningful combinations other therapeutic modalitie...
