摘要: Two trials are reported in which bulls were implanted with zeranol and slaughtered at 18 months. There was no significant change carcass weight due to either trial. Samples of the longissimus dorsi (LD) splenius (Sp) cross-cryosectioned, stained for myofibrillar ATPase examined by conventional light microscopy. The stain resolved three fibre types: I, slow contracting an oxidative metabolism, IIA, fast-oxidative-glycolytic IIB, fast-glycolytic. In LD from treated bulls, occurrence IIB fibres increased, apparently expense IIA fibres, as I unchanged. These changes parallelled previously effects castration. Changes Sp less dramatic. one trial absent all muscles, but, other, some muscles animals contained these whereas they control group. If type extend skeletal other than Sp, there is likely be a subtle musculature's metabolism. Fibre areas largely unaffected zeranol. this respect did not mimic
