摘要: The nitrogen (N) isotope exchange between nitric oxide (NO) and dioxide (NO2) has been previously suggested to influence N stable compositions (δ15N) of these molecules. However, there is disagreement in the magnitude isotopic fractionation ( αNO2/NO) resulting from this process previous experimental theoretical studies. To end, we measured αNO2/NO associated with reaction at various temperatures. Our results indicate be 1.0403 ± 0.0015, 1.0356 ± 0.0015, 1.0336 ± 0.0014 278 K, 297 K, 310 K, respectively. These values are within error calculated using a modified version Bigeleisen-Mayer equation corrected for accurate zero-point energies, indicating an agreement experiment theory. Modeling demonstrates that δ15N-NO2 may exhibit diurnal seasonal profile if equilibrium achieved.
