摘要: Aim To develop a Turkish version of the 25-item Cardiff Visual Ability Questionnaire for Children (CVAQC) and to evaluate validity reliability questionnaire. Methods The study involved two main phases. first phase cross-cultural adaptation CVAQC from English into Turkish. second completion by 150 partially sighted children (6–18 years old) checks. Extent construct were investigated using Rasch analysis internal consistency person separation index (PSI). Results An adequate conceptual equivalence was achieved following linguistic process. dataset validation comprised participants, 88 (58.7%) whom male. Evidence disordered thresholds found one item (item 17). This recorded collapsing categories ordered evident. All items fit model (χ² (df)=59.90 (2), p=0.159). good (mean (SD) −0.054 (1.132), −0.629 (2.079)) indicating single underlying construct. with Cronbach9s α 0.91 PSI 0.94. Differential functioning (DIF) tested age, sex, diagnosis, degree visual impairment, comorbidity. DIF on age 10, reading board at school). Conclusions is valid, reliable, unidimensional questionnaire aged 6–18 years. Trial registration number Ankara University Ethics Committees registry 06-177-12.
