摘要: PURPOSE: To validate the Impact of Vision Impairment for Children (the IVI_C), a new vision-specific pediatric instrument designed to assess affect impaired vision on quality life (QoL) in children. METHODS: The IVI_C was administered vision-impaired and normally sighted students, 8 18 years age. Reliability validity were tested, subjected Rasch analysis scale unidimensionality, measurement characteristics, response options, targeting. RESULTS: mean (SD) presenting bilateral distance visual acuity (VA) group (n = 122) 1.10 (0.79) logMAR 1.15 (0.80) near VA. After initial categories collapsed from five three, content further supported by good person item fit parameters. separation index (PSI) 0.85, which indicates that can QoL across children several participation levels. shown be unidimensional after principal components (PCA) residuals (t-test; P 0.48, 0.34). Significant differences overall measures between groups substantiated discriminant (ANOVA; F 78.75; < 0.0001). Guttman split-half correlations temporal, mode (face-to-face telephone), interobserver administrations 0.95, 0.90, 0.86, respectively, supporting reliability. CONCLUSIONS: modified is unidimensional, reliable, valid assessing with impairment. It provides means outcomes interventions needs
