摘要: PURPOSE Perform the cross-cultural equivalence of Brazilian version Levels Speech Usage (LSU) self-report categorical rating scale. METHODS First, LSU was translated into Portuguese by three speech-language pathologists fluent in English. Next, a back-translation performed another pathologist. A committee compared protocol with its original and approved it name LSU-Br. The also contains five answer options: "restrito" (undemanding), "eventual" (intermittent), "frequente" (routine), "intenso" (extensive), "extremo" (extraordinary) from which only one must be chosen considering speech usage individual past year, response is result. total 31 individuals responded to option "does not apply" added order identify any questions that could misunderstood target population or were appropriate culture.
