摘要: Throughout Western Europe, it is alleged, ‘the state in retreat’. This volume explores some of the pressures leading to retreat programmes as well nature those programmes. Focusing exclusively on functional, rather than territorial, level reveals that reshaping Europe involves different policies across and conflicting tendencies impact various reform Whilst may be respects, its activity increasing others.
