摘要: Thermal characterization of a fiberglass/epoxy prepreg fabric used as the bonding material to join composite-to-composite pipes by curing has been investigated. The and composite have temperature dependent thermal properties. Thus resulting boundary value equations are nonlinear analytical solutions cannot be easily obtained. Finite difference modeling (FDM) numerical computational techniques were solve one-dimensional heat conduction with chemical kinetics in thermosetting material. Temperature distributions degree cure within pipe joint predicted. A Differential Scanning Calorimeter (DSC) both isothermal dynamic modes was characterize kinetic properties prepreg. result this is necessary for optimizing process produce superior activated coupled joint. In addition, assess effects induced stress joint, profile needed. methodology employed analysis compares favorably data from experimentation.
