摘要: A critical technology for composite piping systems in offshore platforms is the joining technique. This paper discusses development of a hybrid approach by using heat-activated prepreg welding and adhesive bonding. The procedure was demonstrated via specimens' fabrication. Four adhesives, with varying mechanical properties, were used to seal gap between two pipes. glass fiber reinforced wrap total forty-five specimens prepared evaluated standardized internal pressure tests. finite element analysis conducted aid understanding mechanisms method. Recommendations further studies made based on test results.
