摘要: Intracranial pressure (ICP) was recorded following gunshot wounds of the brain in 20 patients, and 11 them within an hour injury, during resuscitation. In six who were bleeding profusely, both ICP blood low, they required massive transfusion, with successful outcome two. Four others presented small high ICP. Others, minimal damage, had "normal" pressures, but this could be affected adversely by coughing, struggling, minor degrees respiratory obstruction. Immediate endotracheal intubation, muscle relaxation, mechanical ventilation prevented such deterioration. Controlled continued postoperatively seemed to control survivors. It is suggested that very labile post-traumatic condition patients can improved adequate resuscitation, immediate controlled ventilation; monitoring valuable pre- assessing treatment.
