摘要: HYPERCAPNIA is known to influence the penetration of a variety substances into brain. Investigations have ranged from effect carbon dioxide inhalation on regional uptake trifluoroiododomethane labeled with radioactive iodine (131I),1a rapidly penetrating compound that essentially measures blood flow, entry viruses and colloidal carbon,2particles ordinarily limited access central nervous system. In addition, accumulation various drugs3and ions4,5has been studied in hypercapnic animal. An analysis results these latter experiments has required consideration enhanced changes ionization drugs secondary increased hydrogen ion activity, alteration degree metabolic incorporation or binding brain plasma. Other studies implied pathological increase blood-brain permeability plasma proteins. Clemedson et al6exposed rabbits, guinea pigs, cats
