摘要: OBJECTIVE. To identify the pattern and severity of injury associated with stairway-related falls in children. METHODS. During a 2-year period, all children less than 5 years age presenting to University Virginia Pediatric Emergency Department were prospectively studied. At time emergency department visit, demographic epidemiologic information was obtained. Injuries assigned E codes N codes. A Modified Injury Severity Scale (MISS) score calculated for each child.
