摘要: UNLABELLED Using a patient-controlled analgesia (PCA) delivery system, we evaluated the clinical advantages and disadvantages of morphine PCA compared with plus lysine acetyl salicylate (LAS), soluble aspirin. After major orthopedic surgery, 50 adult patients were enrolled in prospective, randomized, double-blinded study. When patient recovery room complained pain, an initial dose or morphine/LAS mixture was titrated to achieve visual analog score < = 3 30 min. An equivalent volume either 1 mg/mL 0.5 mg + LAS 90 used lockout interval 10 Pain score, satisfaction, vital signs, adverse effects observed for 48 h. Adequate (visual scale 3) achieved drug. Morphine consumption group significantly less than (13.9 vs 18.4 24 h 24.3 32.4 h). Significantly more sedation evident (P 0.05). We conclude that injectable can be as effective safe adjuvant PCA. This combination reduces requirements hence some its effects. IMPLICATIONS Injectable aspirin could analgesia. requirement therefore morphine-related untoward
