Evidence for Z-form RNA by vacuum UV circular dichroism

摘要: Abstract Circular dichroism (CD) spectra in the vacuum UV region for different conformations of poly d(G-C) X and r(G-C) are very characteristic. The CD RNA A-form (6 M NaClO4 22 degrees C) is similar to that DNA 80% alcohol where it believed be A-form. With exception longest wavelength transition, 6 at 46 C under conditions Z-form (2 NaClO4). This substantiates assumes a left-handed Z-conformation above 35 C. Z-forms both characterized by an intense negative peak 190-195 nm, crossover about 184 positive below 180 nm. right-handed A- B-forms all have their near 186 large difference range 185-195 nm right- nucleic acids can used identify sense helix winding.
