摘要: Consequences of protein-calorie malnutrition (PCM) have mostly been approached in terms changes body cell mass, or compartments as lean and fat masses. Such an approach exaggerates the relationship between tissue composition function. In addition, evidence compartment alterations does not provide any information about pathophysiological consequences such changes. For instance, a reduction muscle mass reduce performance power endurance? contrast, function-oriented gives overall appreciation integrity given mechanism which might be altered by malnutrition. Functions studied at different levels: whole organism (i.e. heat production), organ power), individual membrane potential). At cellular level, ions content properties reflects that PCM
