摘要: Objective: To describe the rationale for investigating dopaminergic system in patients with melancholia by applying molecular biological (notably, situ hybridisation) and histopathological techniques postmortem brain tissue.Method: Relevant advances functional neuroanatomy of frontostriatal circuits, as well insights from clinical neuroimaging studies primary secondary depressive disorders, are presented.
