The photoionisation of atomic hydrogen and hydrogenic ions in intense magnetic fields

摘要: Calculations of the photoionisation lowest even- and odd-parity levels atomic hydrogen in a magnetic field (lo3 c B < lo5 T) at photon energies from ionisation threshold to 87 Ryd above it are reported. The appropriate generalisation Wigner law is given. Resonances found each embedded discrete continuum level secondary maxima associated with motion along predicted, confirmed analytically simple model. results may be extended any hydrogenic ion using recent theorem Wunner et al, which quoted.
