摘要: This article describes the design and development process of an eye tracking-based computer system that benefits from intact ocular motor control completely locked-in patient to provide him or her with alternative means communication. A is individual who has lost all types communication ability people in his environment. developed uses a head-mounted web camera capture real-time images patient's eye. These are then passed program, using Matlab ® , which processes them computes coordinates pupil position. The program sends commands interactive JAVA™-based interface, provides matrix pictograms representing most essential daily activities. When pictogram activated (clicked), plays back audible statement, recorded any language, reflecting desired activity. Ten healthy adult volunteers, free musculoskeletal neurological disorders, participated validation system. Validation results revealed accuracy 96.11 r 5.58 % repeatability 94.44 2.51 %. rehabilitative this project offers patient, social class, simple yet effective advantages over existing systems low cost, processing power, ease operation, little training requirements, minimal disturbance customization mother tongue.
