摘要: Abstract The forces acting between muscovite mica surfaces across solutions containing either uncharged carbohydrates (cyclodextrin and sucrose) or a weakly charged hemicellulose (xylan) were measured using surface force apparatus. Both the xylan adsorb onto basal plane. adsorption of results in decrease longrange electrostatic double-layer force, thereby indicating reduction charge density. At low ionic strength (1 × 10-3M KBr) is very limited, resulting adsorbed layer has thickness similar to that observed for cyclodextrin sucrose. When solution increased, slow buildup takes place. functional form interactions these thicker layers consistent with expected anchored polymer brushes good solvent.
