摘要: Background: Smoking plays a disease-related risk factor and is however the principal cause of preventable death. Many studies support use combined rather than single interventions to stop smoking. Objective: This study aimed evaluate effects auricular acupressure with multimedia instruction in comparison alone on smoking cessation young adults. Method: A quasi-experimental research design was used participants were assigned experimental groups according their preference. Group 1 received 10-week program plus instruction; 2 alone. Thirty-two each group recruited from universities Taiwan. The physical psychological data collected right before after program. Results: demonstrated factors group. Statistical between-group differences existed self-efficacy nicotine dependence, but not carbon monoxide cotinine. Conclusions: adds body benefits using or without for adolescents. intervention more effective especially increasing decreasing dependence. Further suggested adding control such as placebo order understand effect cessation.
