摘要: AIMS: To assess the occurrence of lipid peroxidation in chronic hepatitis C and to evaluate its relation pathological features liver iron concentrations. METHODS: Liver biopsy samples 43 patients with untreated were studied by immunohistochemistry using specific antibodies directed against two major aldehyde metabolites peroxidation, malondialdehyde (MDA), 4-hydroxynonenal (HNE). RESULTS: MDA HNE adducts (aldehydes covalently linked another molecule) detected 77% 30% cases, respectively. both extracellular matrix sinusoidal cells localised areas periportal lobular necrosis. appeared cytoplasm only a few hepatocytes. Comparison semiquantitative assessment (MDA indexes) grading staging showed that index was correlated fibrosis score (p < 0.001) grade activity 0.01). There also tendency correlation concentration = 0.09). No observed between or concentration. CONCLUSION: Lipid products are detectable patients. The presence active fibrogenesis suggest role for fibrosis.
