摘要: A comparative mapping of U2 small nuclear RNA (snRNA) and 5S ribosomal (rRNA) genes was performed in 6 Gymnotus species. All species analyzed presented the snDNA organized conspicuous blocks not co-located with rRNA genes. In addition, 5 showed located a single pair chromosomes, which seems to be conserved trait this genus. Conversely, G. pantanal only displaying several terminal signals different chromosome pairs, including X1 sex but Y chromosome. This is first report snRNA chromosomes fishes. The absence sites indicates possible loss segments involved formation.
